Lok Sabha Elections 2024: All the main parties have started preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. Big leaders of the opposition are trying to unite all the opposition parties. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister of Karnataka and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy has said a big thing on Monday (June 12). They said, "The decision on the electoral pact for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be taken when the time comes."

What about the electoral tie-up with BJP?

He said, "No such proposal has come before me regarding the Lok Sabha elections, nor has any decision been taken regarding my contesting the elections." When asked about any electoral tie-up with the BJP, Kumaraswamy said, "In the last five days, JDS has held district-wise meetings of both the winning and losing candidates in the party office and in those meetings everyone has assured me that they will stand by me and cooperate with me sincerely."

What about the deal with other parties?

Asked whether a tie-up with other parties could help, he said, “Let’s see, when the situation arises, we will decide what to do.”" After the results of the assembly elections, there were reports in a section of the media that the JDS would forge an alliance with the BJP to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It was also said that Kumaraswamy had met some senior BJP leaders during his recent visit to New Delhi. However JDS has denied these reports.
