Instructions to the security forces to keep an eye on the religious places on the border


Border Security Forces: Border Security Forces (BSF) deployed along the borders of neighboring countries have been instructed to keep a watch on illegal encroachments and possible suspicious activities in their areas of operation. Border Security Force is deployed on Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal border.

The issue was discussed at a ‘Chintan Shivir’ of IPS officers posted in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and National Security Guards (NSG) on Monday (June 12) under the chairmanship of Home Minister Amit Shah. Along with this, many plans were finalized.

Instructions to keep strict vigil against illegal encroachment

Sources associated with the meeting told news agency PTI that top officers and other senior commanders of these forces have been asked to keep a strict vigil against any illegal encroachment in their respective areas. Sources said that if any suspicious establishment is detected, central agencies like Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) should be informed immediately.

‘State officials should also be made aware’

Sources said that concerned state officials like district administration, police and intelligence machinery should also be made aware of these activities. In this it should be ensured that any nefarious activities are stopped. He said that apart from NSG, senior officers of forces like BSF, ITBP, SSB, CRPF and CISF have been asked to deal with this strictly.

Notice of buildings and religious places on the border

Border Security Force is deployed on the border of Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police is stationed on the Chinese Line of Control. While Sashastra Seema Bal handles the front on the border of Nepal and Bhutan. A senior CAPF officer said, after gathering their intelligence, these security forces had earlier informed about suspicious warehouses, buildings and religious places coming near the Indian border. Along with these activities, the security forces had expressed concern about the security along the border.

Sources said that under the theme ‘Knowing the Border’, the Border Security Forces have also been instructed to prepare a 2000-year history of the village and area where they are deployed. Later these records will be used for the training of soldiers.
