Summons was sent to Abhishek Banerjee
TMC general secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee is busy campaigning for the Panchayat elections to be held in West Bengal these days, while on the other hand, after the CBI, the ED wants to interrogate him in connection with the multi-crore teacher recruitment scam. For this, the ED had sent summons to Abhishek on June 9, in the summons it was said that Abhishek Banerjee should appear at the ED’s Salt Lake office on June 13.
Abhishek had reacted only a few hours after the summons was issued by the ED. He said, “Panchayat elections are coming. I am doing TMC’s Navjowar programme. During this time I do not have time to waste 10-11 hours in questioning. Elections end on July 8, after that when Call for enquiry.”
