Pujara is on target after flopping in WTC Final, Pakistani player also reprimanded

Danish Kaneria criticizes Cheteshwar Pujara: Many prominent players are facing criticism for the defeat suffered by the Indian team in the World Test Championship (WTC) final match. It also includes the name of Cheteshwar Pujara, from whom everyone expected a better performance. Pujara could only manage to play innings of 14 and 27 runs on the Oval ground. Meanwhile, now former Pakistani player Danish Kaneria has criticized him fiercely for his performance.

Where Cheteshwar Pujara was bowled in the first innings of the WTC final match. In the second innings, he lost his wicket while trying to play a strange shot. Pujara was in England before this title match and was playing county matches. Pujara, who reached there only in April, scored 545 runs in a total of 6 county matches. In such a situation, he knew better about the situation there.

Criticizing Pujara for this preparation, Danish Kaneria said on his YouTube channel that Pujara was playing county matches two months before the WTC final match. He was playing for the same county team on which the match was played. Despite playing for Sussex, he could not manage to score runs in this match. This clearly shows that the bowlers bowling in the county are not of that level due to which they can be successful in scoring runs there.

Australia’s bowlers were much better

Kaneria further said in his statement that the preparation of the Australian bowlers was excellent and Pujara appeared to be struggling even after playing on these wickets for months. Pujara knew the situation here very well. But despite this he completely failed.
