According to the news agency PTI, many leaders of ruling TMC and opposition parties were seen clashing with each other. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police had to use mild force as well. At the same time, violence continued for the fifth consecutive day in some parts of South 24 Parganas and Bankura districts over the filing of nominations.
At the same time, the police also told that the miscreants hurled bombs and pelted stones against the Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel and the police had to fire tear gas shells to calm the situation.
