Prime Minister Narendra Modi The Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) on Thursday (June 15) passed a proposal to buy Predator MQ-9B Reapers (MQ-9B Reapers) drones from American company General Atomics ahead of US visit starting next week. India will buy 30 such drones from America.
The Indian Navy already has these two drones on rent. MQ-9B Reapers are considered to be the deadliest drone in the world.

News agency PTI quoted sources as informing that MQ-9B Predator drones will be purchased from the US to increase the surveillance equipment of the armed forces along the border with China. This is a purchase deal of about three billion dollars, for which the Ministry of Defense has shown the green signal.
Announcement may happen after Modi-Biden meeting
PM Modi and US President Joe Biden are going to meet at the White House next week, it is expected that this drone purchase deal will be announced after the meeting of the two leaders.
People aware of the developments said that in a meeting of the DAC on Thursday, the proposal to buy the drone was approved. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
