Russian Oil To Pakistan: Pakistan, which is struggling with economic crisis, is now getting cheap crude oil from Russia. On reaching Karachi on Sunday, the Russian oil tanker was paid by Pakistan to Russia in Chinese currency (Yuan). However, it was not revealed then that Pakistan got cheap crude oil from Russia on the condition of refining in India.
Pakistani journalist Raza Hamdani told from Islamabad that Pakistan had earlier tried to negotiate with India to get cheap Russian oil. Pakistan wanted to get oil directly from India, but the matter could not be done. After that, China persuaded Russia to get cheap Russian oil to Pakistan. However, Russia agreed to give oil to Pakistan at 20% less price on the condition that its refining would have to be done in India only. Apart from this, the payment will also have to be done in Chinese currency. Economically backward Pakistan accepted both the conditions. In this way, both India and China played a role in getting him cheap Russian oil.
Russian crude oil is refined in India
Let us tell you that the major system of crude oil refining in South Asia is in India only. This is the reason why European countries are also buying Russian oil through India. The cost of oil refining in India is also less than other countries. The tanker which reached Pakistan from UAE carrying 45000 metric tonnes of crude oil was earlier in Gujarat, and that oil was refined in the refinery located in Gujarat. Now the Pakistani government is saying that it can get 1 lakh barrels of crude oil daily from Russia. Because, Pakistan does not have a refining system, so that oil will be refined in India.
This is how Pakistan will get relief from inflation
According to the report of the Pakistani newspaper ‘The Dawn’, before the arrival of Russian oil, the price of one liter of petrol in Pakistan was about 262 Pakistani rupees. Due to the economic crisis, it was very difficult for the common man to pay such a huge amount for petrol there. In such a situation, getting cheap oil from Russia is no less than a boon for Pakistan. Due to getting cheap oil, now the common consumers there will get some relief from inflation. However, it has not been decided yet that what will be the new rates of petrol and diesel in Pakistan.
