Weather update: In most of the states of the country, people are facing severe heat at this time. People are suffering due to heatwave and sunlight. According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon is set to advance into the southern peninsula and eastern parts of the country from June 18 after an initial delay over Kerala. The Meteorological Department had said about the onset of monsoon on June 8, but cyclonic storm Biparjoy had slowed down its pace.

According to IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, Cyclone Biparjoy has completely separated itself from the monsoon flow. Along with this, he said that it will not have any effect on the progress of seasonal rain system. Earlier, the monsoon was predicted on June 8, but cyclonic storm Biparjoy slowed down its pace, after which the monsoon is likely to advance from June 18 as the cyclone has now separated from the monsoon circulation.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a heatwave warning in Delhi-NCR on June 15. Along with this, the same condition is going to remain till June 18, although in the meantime there is a possibility of light clouds in the sky.
