PM Modi will attend the Yoga Day program on June 21 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. After this, he will be formally welcomed at the White House on June 22 and a state dinner will be organized in honor of PM Modi. After this, the Prime Minister will also address the people of the Indian community in a community event on June 23, for which complete preparations are being made.
The Foreign Ministry said that Prime Minister Modi will address a joint meeting of the US Congress on June 22 at the invitation of several lawmakers, including Speaker of the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy and Speaker of the Senate Charles Schumer. A day later, on June 23, US Vice President Kamala Harris and Foreign Minister Antony Blinken will host a luncheon in Modi’s honour.
First visit to Egypt as Prime Minister
Apart from official meetings, PM Modi will also interact with CEOs and other officials of many big companies. As part of the second leg of his two-nation tour, Prime Minister Modi will visit Cairo on a state visit to Egypt from June 24 to 25. Modi is making this visit at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Al-Sisi attended India’s Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest and at the same time invited the prime minister to visit Egypt. This will be Modi’s first visit to Egypt as Prime Minister.
