Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu minister K Ponumudi targeted Governor RN Ravi on Thursday (June 15).
On behalf of the DMK government, a file was sent to Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi to give charge of Senthil Balaji’s ministries to someone else. which he had returned. Ponumudi, a minister in the Stalin government, attacked Governor RN Ravi and asked him not to behave like a BJP agent.
Misleading and wrong information – Governor
According to the report of Hindustan Times, Minister Ponumudi said that the Governor had returned the file on behalf of CM MK Stalin giving charge of Balaji’s ministries to other ministers. He said that this was necessary after Balaji’s arrest and hospitalization in money laundering cases. Ponumudi said that RN Ravi returned the file saying that it contained misleading and incorrect information.
The minister of the Stalin government said that CM MK Stalin wanted to distribute the charge of his departments due to the minister being ill, but Governor RN Ravi returned the file saying that the correct reason was not given in it. The reasons given by him (Stalin) are misleading and wrong.
Don’t behave like BJP’s agent- Minister of Stalin government
Ponumudi said these things during a press conference, which was done after a meeting was called by Stalin. In this meeting it was once again decided to send the file to RN Ravi. In the press conference, Minister Ponumudi said that we think that he (the governor) will accept it and will not behave like an agent of BJP.
Ponumudi said that RN Ravi had written a letter to Stalin on May 31 asking him to remove Balaji from the ministerial post. He claimed that this happened several days before the ED raid on Senthil Balaji and his arrest. In response to this, Stalin had written that if ministers are named in any case, then there is no need to remove them from the post.
Tamil Nadu government minister Senthil Balaji has been sent to judicial custody till June 28. Balaji is accused of corruption between 2011 and 2015. Ever since this arrest, the DMK has been continuously criticizing the BJP-led central government for misuse of investigative agencies.
