Support will be available in more than 9 lakh vehicles
The company said that adding ChatGPT to the vehicles will make voice control even easier through Hey Mercedes via MBUX voice assistant. This optional beta program for over 9,00,000 vehicles equipped with the MBUX infotainment system begins in the US on June 16, 2023, and users can join the ‘Hey Me Beta’ program through the Mercedes-Benz app or directly from their vehicle’s voice assistance Can join by saying ‘I want to be’. Markus Schaefer, CTO of Mercedes-Benz Group AG and Member of the Board of Management for Development and Procurement, said that the company’s beta program promotes navigation queries, weather requests and everything else with the capabilities of Chat GPT. He said that our aim is to make the conversation more natural so that the user experience can be improved.
The company also said that the integration of Chat GPT will help drivers and passengers to get sports and weather updates. Along with this, AI will also answer the surrounding questions and even users will be able to control smart homes.
