The latest case is from Jabalpur district, where a tribal youth had to hide the body of his newborn child in a bag and take it to his home town Dindori due to non-availability of a hearse. Video is going viral.

Sunil Dhurve, a resident of Sahajpuri in the tribal district of Dindori, Madhya Pradesh, said that his wife Jamni Bai had delivered at the district hospital on June 13. She gave birth to a son but the newborn was physically weak. The doctor referred him to Jabalpur Medical College Hospital. After this, Sunil Dhurve reached Jabalpur Medical College with his newborn baby and got him admitted for treatment.

Medical college management refused to give vehicle
Sunil told that his newborn son died during treatment on June 15 in Jabalpur. After this, she had to bring back the dead body of her newborn child to Dindori. He requested the medical college management to provide a dead body, but they refused. After this, Sunil kept the body of his newborn son in a bag and reached the bus stand of Jabalpur. From here he boarded a bus and reached Dindori. Saddened by the death of his son, Sunil’s heart kept crying all the way, but he did not let the tears come. He said that he kept sitting in the bus with a stone on his heart, because if the bus occupants had come to know, he could have got off.

Health minister said this
At the Dindori bus stand, when Sunil alighted from the bus carrying the body of his newborn child in a bag, the eyes of the onlookers became moist. Some people also made a video of it which is going viral on social media. In this matter, State Health Minister Prabhu Ram Chaudhary told the media that the Health Department provides an ambulance to the injured or sick person. It is the responsibility of the local municipal administration to provide the hearse. To get information about this, we called Dr. Geeta Guin, Dean of Jabalpur Medical College, but her call did not pick up.
