Social media platform Instagram has launched the Broadcast Channel feature, which provides creators and users with a powerful tool to send messages to their followers. With broadcast channels, participants can provide feedback, vote in polls, and engage with content. However, they can’t reply to an admin or creator. This feature allows users to share a variety of media formats, including photos, videos, audio clips and text messages, enhancing the interactive experience on the platform (Instagram Broadcast channel).
Anyone can view channel content
Reportedly, once a creator starts a broadcast channel on Instagram, their followers will be notified and invited to join. Whereas anyone can see the channel content. Only those who join the channel will get notifications for new messages. According to News18.com, the first message sent to the broadcast channel will trigger a notification to all followers, encouraging them to engage and stay connected.

You can find your broadcast channel in the Instagram app by tapping Send or Messenger in the top right, then tapping Channels (Instagram Broadcast channel) at the top. You can follow the step-by-step process below to create an Instagram broadcast channel on iOS and Android devices:
- First open Instagram on your Android or iOS device
- Tap Send or Messenger in the top right of Feed
- Now tap in the top right.
- Tap Create Broadcast Channel.
- Here you can give the name of the channel
- Then choose the audience for your channel
- Also select when your channel will end.
- Choose to feature your channel on your profile
- At the bottom, tap Create Broadcast Channel.
There are some ways to invite in a broadcast channel
There are a few ways to invite to join a broadcast channel on Instagram. You can invite people to join your broadcast channel by sharing the link.
