Knife Attack In New Zealand: On Monday, a man suddenly attacked people having dinner at a Chinese restaurant in New Zealand. 4 people were injured during the attack. The injured were admitted to the hospital. Police officials told that the accused attacked the people eating food in the restaurant with an axe.
According to the information given by the police, the attack happened in Albany, North Auckland at around nine o’clock on Monday night. Police said that a 24-year-old youth has been arrested from the spot of the incident. However, till now the police have not told what were the reasons behind the attack.
After treating the injured, Auckland City Hospital said on Tuesday that the condition of one person injured in the attack remains stable. Along with this, North Shore Hospital told that the injured suffered minor injuries and the condition of both is stable.
A diner at the restaurant told the New Zealand Herald newspaper that he was having dinner with a friend when the assailant entered the restaurant and attacked his friend, who was seriously injured. He said, ‘I was in shock when I came to know what was happening. He tried to target me as well.
Inspector Timothy Williams said they were not looking for anyone else involved in the attack. They believe that the accused has single-handedly executed this incident. He has also said that the police is looking for evidence to prove the charges against the attacker. The accused will be produced in the court on Tuesday.
