Koriya News: There is still a lot of time left for Ganesh Puja and Durga Puja. In the festive season, idols of various deities are installed and worshiped. For which the work of preparing the idol is already done by the sculptors. In this episode, the sculptor of West Bengal has reached Baikunthpur city of Koriya district and has started preparing to make idols. So that he can make idols in time.
6 member sculptors have reached Bardhaman, West Bengal, 15 days ago from Kolkata, on the side of civil line road of Baikunthpur city, have made their temporary shelter and the process of making idols has been started by collecting material for making idols nearby. Sculptors told that Korea has been reaching district headquarters Baikunthpur for the last several years to make idols. Staying here for a few months makes idols, after which Barddhaman goes back to Kolkata.
Purchasing all the materials locally
Sculptors told that the raw materials used for making idols of deities are purchased from the local level only. He told that paravat, bamboo, soil is procured from the local level only. Most of the material is procured from the local level, but the decoration material is brought from Kolkata to decorate the idols.
New shape to old idols
The idols of Maa Durga made earlier by the said sculptors are also being given a new shape. Pre-made idols with color lacquer and decorations are being prepared for worship. Before making idols of various gods and goddesses by the sculptors, they have started preparing effigies with the help of paravat and bamboo. After which the idols will be shaped by applying clay paste. The sculptors told that now they will first prepare the idol of Lord Ganesha. After this, idols of Durga Mata and other deities will be prepared.
