Babita Phogat responds to Sakshi Malik’s claims ‘…I don’t bet on lies’

Babita Phogat on Sakshi Malik: Wrestler and BJP leader Babita Phogat has once again responded to the claims of Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik and her husband Satyavrat Kadian. On Tuesday (June 20), he tweeted a video message, along with a sarcasm in the caption, “Jhootha hai jhooth baat yeh bolega aina, aao hamare saamne hum saach batayenge, main nahi kisi par ksane main nahi khariti ki, mujhe gurur.” On myself, I do not bet on lies!

Sakshi and her husband had released a video on Twitter on June 17, claiming that two BJP leaders had taken permission to protest against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the outgoing president of Wrestling Federation of India, at Jantar Mantar. He said in the video that BJP leader Teerth Rana and BJP leader Babita Phogat had taken permission for Protest from Jantar Mantar police station.

On this, Babita had said that the people of the country have understood that she (Sakshi Malik) has become a puppet in the hands of the Congress. The time has come for him to reveal his real intention as the public is asking questions.

Sakshi Malik taunted

On the other hand, Sakshi Malik shared her video again the next day, writing, “In the video, we taunted Tirath Rana and Babita Phogat, how they were trying to use wrestlers for their selfishness and how the wrestlers were hit when disaster struck.” When it fell, they went and sat on the lap of the government. We are definitely in trouble, but the sense of humor should not become so weak that you cannot even laugh at the pinch bitten by the powerful.

What did Sakshi Malik and her husband say in the video?

Wrestler Sakshi Malik and her husband Satyavrat Kadian said in the video, “For the past several days, a different narrative is being made against us in the society… The first allegation that was leveled against us was that our movement was politically motivated.” And Congress leader Deepender Hooda has instigated us for agitation. You all know that first of all we had come to protest at Jantar Mantar in January. The permission for that Protest was taken by only two BJP leaders. We have its proof.

He said, “BJP leader Teerth Rana and BJP leader Babita Phogat had taken permission for Protest from Jantar Mantar police station, we also showed you the proof of that. How can it be that Congress got the movement done.

What did Babita Phogat say?

Responding in her video on Tuesday, Babita Phogat said, “The baseless allegations made by my friend Sakshi Malik on me, I would like to say that there is a saying that one should not believe what the eyes have seen and what the ears have heard.” This proverb is based on the words of Sakshi’s sister. The permission letter that Sakshi sister is showing, I do not have my signature anywhere and there is no such direct evidence anywhere. And don’t play with the sensibilities.

He said, “As the sister is saying in the video that political allegations are being leveled against us and we are being accused by taking the name of Deepender Hooda, so till date Sakshi sister, any Congress party spokesperson has given a statement on her. Nor has any leader of the Congress party given a statement in his defence. Despite this, you are giving answers to every person to counter them. I do not understand whether you are talking about the side of the wrestlers or you are giving statements as the spokesperson of the Congress.
