Hearing on appointment of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries on August 31, know what is the matter


Himachal Pradesh News: The appointment of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries in Himachal Pradesh has been challenged. The matter challenging the appointment of the CPS was listed in the Himachal Pradesh High Court on Monday. Himachal Pradesh High Court Chief Justice M.S. A division bench of Justice Ramachandra Rao and Justice Ajay Mohan Goyal has fixed the hearing of the case on August 31. The court also listed all matters related to CPS appointments for simultaneous hearing. Earlier, a hearing was held in this matter on May 19.

All three petitions will be heard together
Three petitions have been filed challenging the appointment of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries in Himachal Pradesh. First of all, in the year 2016, the People for Responsible Government organization challenged the appointment of CPS. At that time the government was running in Himachal under the leadership of Virbhadra Singh. An application has been made to make him a respondent on the new appointment. Apart from this, Kalpana Devi, a resident of Mandi, has also filed a petition against the appointments of CPS.

Challenge to the appointment of Deputy Chief Minister
Satpal Singh Satti, former President of Himachal BJP and MLA from Una Sadar, has challenged the appointment of Deputy Chief Minister and CPS. The Himachal Pradesh High Court has decided to hear all these petitions together. Significantly, the court notice issued to the CPS is not being served. So far only two Chief Parliamentary Secretaries including the Deputy Chief Minister have accepted the notices. According to the information, the four Chief Parliamentary Secretaries have not even received the court’s notices till now.

Let us inform that six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries have been appointed in the Himachal Pradesh government. Among them, Sanjay Awasthi from Arki Assembly Constituency, Sundar Singh Thakur from Kullu, Mohan Lal Brakta from Doon, Ram Kumar Rohru, Ashish Patel from Palampur and Kishori Lal from Baijnath have been made Chief Parliamentary Secretaries. These Chief Parliamentary Secretaries were sworn in at the State Secretariat before the Cabinet Ministers in the month of January.
