Girls Samridhi Yojana: The campaign of ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ in the country is being run by the present central government for a long time. Under this, efforts have been made to keep the daughters of the country safe and continue their education properly. However, there is a scheme in the country which is being run long before the arrival of the Modi government and under this, government financial assistance is being given to girls from birth to their education.

What is Girl Child Prosperity Scheme

In the year 1997, ‘Balika Samridhi Yojana’ was started by the government. Through this scheme, the government provides financial assistance for years from the birth of the girl child to her education. First of all, on the birth of a daughter, financial assistance of Rs 500 is given to the mother after delivery. After this, for the education of the girl child up to class 10, financial assistance of a few rupees is provided by the government at every stage.

Under the scheme, only BPL families are eligible to get government assistance on the birth of a girl child in urban and rural areas. Only two daughters in the family can take advantage of this scheme.

How to apply for Balika Samriddhi Yojana-

In Balika Samriddhi Yojana, you can give application both online and offline. To apply offline, you can get the form by visiting any Anganwadi workers and health service centers. And to apply online, you fill the form and submit it through online only. Significantly, the form is different for rural and urban beneficiaries. The form has to be filled with all the necessary information. It has to be submitted on the same platform from where the form is received. How much scholarship is given

Under the Balika Samriddhi Yojana, which was started in the year 1997 for the welfare of the girl child, the Central Government provides annual scholarship for the education of the girl child.

Rs.300 per year for each class from Class I to III
Rs 500 in class IV
Rs 600 in class five
Rs 700 from class 6 to 7
Rs 800 in class eight
Rs 1000 is helped from class 9 to 10

Who conducts the Girl Child Prosperity Scheme

Balika Samriddhi Yojana is managed by the Integrated Child Development Services in rural areas, whereas in urban areas the health department officials run the scheme.
