So will Shahbaz Sharif’s government fall? Bilawal Bhutto has now broken the silence on the news of differences

Pakistan News: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday termed the reports of rift with the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) as mere rumours. He said that there is no political difference between his party and the PML-N. It is expected that the politics of both the parties will proceed according to the Charter of Democracy.

Addressing a public meeting in Swat on Saturday, Bilawal Bhutto accused his own government of ignoring the provinces that bore the brunt of last year’s devastating floods. He said that PPP has very little contribution in the budget of the financial year 2023-24. He said that if the Muslim League-N (PML-N) wants the PPP to vote for this budget, it must first allocate funds for flood reconstruction.

Issues will not be resolved in public rallies

Following Bilawal Bhutto’s allegations, senior PML-N leader Ahsan insisted that alliance partners should resolve all issues in cabinet meetings and not in public rallies. He further said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has always given more importance to coalition partners than his own party members and has always resolved their issues. Accusing each other in public creates an atmosphere of instability, which cannot be tolerated.

Bilawal denied differences

Addressing the media during the swearing-in ceremony of the mayor and deputy mayor of Karachi after the incident, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Monday that there was no political difference with the PML-N. Describing it as a historic day, Bilawal further said that for the first time in the history of Karachi, PPP mayor and deputy mayor have been elected. During this, he thanked the workers and office bearers of his party.

PTI claims break up of alliance

On the other hand, on this whole matter, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Monday that the alliance is on the verge of breaking, only an official announcement is yet to be made. He further said that the concern expressed by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Swat on Sunday is true.

For the past few days, there have been reports of differences in the media between the two major coalition parties in the PDM – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on several issues.
