Loksabha Election 2023: As the Lok Sabha elections are coming near, the opposition parties are trying their best to unite. Meanwhile, senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Ajit Pawar on Wednesday (June 21) said that his party chief Sharad Pawar, Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar, Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee And the national convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is a bigger leader than Arvind Kejriwal and other leaders. This comment of Ajit Pawar came when two days later on June 23 an important meeting of opposition parties is to be held in Patna.

In the 24th Foundation Day program of NCP in Mumbai, Ajit Pawar also underlined the need for introspection and change if needed. He asked- ‘If (West Bengal Chief Minister) Mamata Banerjee, (Delhi Chief Minister) Arvind Kejriwal, (Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister) Jagan Mohan Reddy, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader N. Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar can win in their respective states on their own…Sharad Pawar is a bigger leader than all of them. Why can’t the NCP work towards the goal (of winning Maharashtra on its own)?”

At the same time, he said that introspection is necessary and changes will have to be brought if needed. The NCP is part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance in Maharashtra.
