Australia beat England by 5 wickets in first ashes test: The first Test match of the 2023 Ashes series was played between England and Australia at Edgbaston in Birmingham. After getting a lead of seven runs in the first innings, England scored 273 runs in the second innings. This time no batsman could score a half-century for England. Joe Root and Harry Brook scored 46-46 runs. At the same time, Ben Stokes played an inning of 43 runs. In this way, England gave the target of 281 runs to the visiting team.
This time Australia got a solid start by David Warner and Usman Khawaja. There was an opening partnership of 61 runs. However, after this wickets kept falling at regular intervals.
