Congress made 9-4-1 formula to win the Lok Sabha elections, know what is its meaning?

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Jharkhand Congress wants to contest two more seats in this Lok Sabha election than in the 2019 parliamentary elections. According to the information received, the party has started preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on the formula of 9-4-1. Actually, Congress wants to keep 9 seats with itself, while it is in favor of giving 4 seats to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and only one seat to RJD. Though the seat sharing of Congress has not yet been discussed with JMM or RJD, but the senior leaders of the party have indicated this in the Grand Alliance meeting.

Let us tell you that the seats of Congress’s choice are Hazaribagh, West Singhbhum, Chatra, Godda, Dhanbad, Ranchi, Khunti, Lohardaga and Koderma. At the same time, only West Singhbhum is the only parliamentary seat, which is occupied by the Congress. Here Geeta Koda defeated BJP’s Laxman Giluwa in the last election. Talking about the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress, JMM, JVM and RJD were in the Grand Alliance. In this, JMM contested on four seats, out of which it won the Rajmahal seat.

Congress wants to contest on JVM seats

At the same time, party chief Shibu Soren himself lost the election from Dumka. Along with this, JVM and RJD candidates also lost both the elections. On the other hand, if the Left parties enter the UPA alliance this time, then the picture can change, because CPI National General Secretary D. Raja has expressed his desire to contest from Hazaribagh. In fact, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress fielded its candidates on seven seats. The Congress got a total of nine seats in the alliance, out of which it gave two seats of its share to Koderma and Godda JVM.

How many seats did BJP get in 2019

Tell that, the then JVM chief Babulal Marandi contested from Koderma and Pradeep Yadav from Godda, but they had to face defeat. Congress wants to keep both these seats with it this time. Whereas, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP contested on 13 seats and won 11 seats. At the same time, its ally AJSU Party contested on Giridih seat and won it. In the grand alliance, Congress contested on seven seats, JMM on four seats, JVM on two and RJD on one seat.

Decision will be taken after opposition meeting

On the other hand, regarding the distribution of seats, State Congress President Rajesh Thakur said that there is a meeting in Patna on June 23. After this, a decision will be taken on seat sharing in Jharkhand. By the way, we are in favor of contesting more seats than last time. Rajesh claimed that the Congress has become much stronger in Jharkhand than before. After the state committee and the district committee, working committees have been formed in most of the mandals. State in-charge Avinash Pandey himself has visited all the districts thrice.
