Pakistan Honor killing: In separate incidents in Pakistan’s Punjab province, two teenage girls and a man were killed in the name of false pride, while a person’s nose and ears were chopped off. The police gave this information on Tuesday (June 20).
Police said that in the first incident, Naseer Ahmed of Sargodha district, about 200 km from capital Lahore in Punjab, suspected his 19-year-old daughter of having an affair with Mukhtar of his own area.

Police said that on Monday (June 19), Ahmed first killed his daughter at his house and then went to Mukhtar’s place and stabbed him to death. According to the police, Ahmed later surrendered. In another incident, in Chiniot, about 170 km from Sargodha district, a man named Ahmed Sher killed his 18-year-old sister for the sake of family honour.
According to the police, after killing the sister, Ahmed threw her body in the drain. According to the police, Sher confessed to his crime and said that he wanted to kill his sister’s lover too, but he could not find him in the city.
1000 murders every year in Pakistan
In the third love-affair incident in Pakistan itself, five brothers in Chiniot village cut off the nose and ears of a man for having an affair with his sister. Police said that Baksh, Riyaz, Ata, Ahmed and Mukhtar suspected their sister of having a love affair with Naseer, so they first beat their sister badly and then fled after cutting off Naseer’s nose and ears.
The police have registered a case against the suspects and arrested one of them. Incidents of honor killing are common in Pakistan. According to Pakistan Human Rights Commission, every year more than 1000 women are murdered in the name of false pride in the country.
