Indian stock market fell due to all-round selling, mid cap index fell by 380 points


Stock Market Closing On 22 June 2023: After two days of strong growth, the Indian stock market has seen a decline due to profit booking again. All-round selling has been seen in the market. There has been a big decline in the shares of Nifty Mid Cap Index. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex fell by 285 points and closed at 63,238 points. While the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 18,771 with a decline of 86 points. Today, due to this fall in the market, investors have suffered huge losses. Investors’ wealth has decreased by more than Rs 2 lakh crore.

In today’s trade, shares of Banking, IT, FMCG, Pharma, Energy, Infra, Consumer Durables, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors closed with losses. Only metals and real estate sector shares have seen a slight rise.

In today’s business, there has also been a big decline in Nifty Mid Cap Index and Small Cap. The Mid Cap Index closed at 35,235 points with a decline of 380 points. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 10 closed up and 20 closed down. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 11 closed with gains and 39 closed in the red.

2 lakh crore loss to investors

Due to the big fall in the stock market today, investors have suffered a lot. In today’s trade, the market cap of BSE came down to Rs 292.30 lakh crore at the close of the market, which was Rs 294.35 lakh crore on Wednesday. That is, in today’s trading session, there has been a dent in the wealth of investors to the tune of 2.05 lakh crores.
