New selector will be recruited soon in BCCI, big step taken by the board


Applications For Indian Team Selector: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for one member of the Men’s Selection Committee. Looking at this work of BCCI, it seems that soon a new selector will be recruited for the Indian cricket team. The notice for the post of Indian team selector has been posted on the official website of BCCI.

This notice has been shared through all the official social media of BCCI. The last date to apply for the post of selector is till June 30, 2023. After the application, the selected candidates will be called for the interview. At the same time, some qualifications have been given by the board for the people applying for the post of selector.

You can apply with these qualifications

According to the BCCI, the person applying for the post of selector must have the following qualifications, that is, the minimum number of matches the candidate must have played in which format.

  • 7 (Seven) Test matches; Or else
  • 30 (thirty) first class matches; Or else
  • 10 (ten) One Day International matches and 20 (twenty) first class matches.

Also the candidate must have retired from the game at least 5 years back.

Wherein, any person who has been a member of any Cricket Committee (as defined in the Memorandum of Association and the Rules and Regulations of the BCCI) for a total of 5 years shall not be eligible to be a member of the Men’s Selection Committee.

These will be the main responsibilities for the candidates

  • Select the best possible team in a fair and transparent manner.
  • Plan and build a strong bench strength for the Senior National Team.
  • Attend team meetings as needed.
  • Travel to watch domestic and international matches.
  • Prepare and provide performance evaluation reports of the concerned team to the Apex Council of BCCI on a quarterly basis.
  • Address media on team selection when instructed by BCCI.
  • Appoint the captain for the team in every format.
  • Follow the rules and regulations of BCCI.
