BCCI gave chance to ‘future star’, got a place in the Test team against West Indies


IND vs WI Test Team Yashasvi Jaiswal: India has announced the Test team against West Indies starting from 12th July. Young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has also been included in this. This is the first time that Yashasvi will mainly be a part of Team India. Earlier, he joined the team as a stand-by for the World Test Championship. Jaiswal is a talented player and has performed brilliantly on many occasions.

Yashasvi has scored 1845 runs in 26 innings of first class matches. He has scored 9 centuries and 2 half-centuries during this period. His best score has been 265 runs. He has also scored a double century. Yashasvi has scored 1511 runs in 32 List A matches. He has scored a double century in this format. His best score has been 203 runs. He has scored 5 centuries and 7 half-centuries in List A. Yashasvi recently performed brilliantly in IPL 2023. He scored 625 runs in 14 matches for Rajasthan Royals.

Significantly, along with Yashasvi, India has also included Rituraj Gaikwad in the team. Ajinkya Rahane has been made the vice-captain of the team. Shardul Thakur, Akshar Patel, Mohammad Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Jaydev Unadkat and Navdeep Saini are also part of the team. The first Test match will be played between India and West Indies from 12 July. After this, the second Test match will be played from 20 July. After this series, 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches will be played.
