BCCI is not getting sponsor for Indian team, now this big decision is taken on base price

Indian Cricket Team Kit Lead Sponsor Rights: A few days ago, tenders were issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the main sponsor rights of Team India’s kit. Now the BCCI has changed the base price for this tender considering it high. Earlier, Byju’s had the right to be the main sponsor of the Indian team’s kit, but they decided to terminate their contract midway. Apart from this, Paytm and MPL also terminated their contracts midway.

Keeping all these things in mind, the BCCI has now reduced the base price for the kit sponsor to around Rs 350 crore. According to a news from Economic Times, BCCI has fixed a base price of Rs 3 crore per match for bilateral matches. At the same time, it has been decided to keep the base price of Rs 1 crore for ICC events and Asian Cricket Council tournaments.

This is much less than the fees charged by Team India’s main kit sponsor Byju’s earlier. Byju’s used to pay Rs 5.07 crore per match fee to BCCI for bilateral series while Rs 1.56 crore for ICC and Asian event matches. This time BCCI has taken the decision to reduce this price keeping in view the condition of the market. BCCI has kept June 26 as the last date for purchasing tender forms.

Adidas recently signed a 5-year contract as a kit sponsor.

As the kit sponsor of Team India, Adidas has signed a contract with BCCI for the next 5 years. For this Adidas has given 250 crore rupees in payment. At the same time, for the next 5 years, Adidas will pay a fee of Rs 75 lakh per match to the Indian Board.
