China Explosion: Four people were killed in an explosion at a steel mill in northeastern China. Five people were injured there. After the blast, there was chaos in the island. In a hurry, the injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment. The incident is of Friday (June 23).
Giving information regarding the blast in the mill, the city’s Emergency Management Bureau said that an explosion occurred at Yingkou Iron and Steel Company Limited in Liaoning province. Due to which four people died. While five people are injured, their treatment is going on. He further told that the reasons for the blast are being investigated. However, according to initial information, the accident happened due to equipment malfunction.
There was also an explosion in the restaurant
Significantly, not even 12 hours had passed since the horrific explosion in China’s ‘Barbecue’ restaurant, then the news of each blast came. In fact, 31 people died in a gas explosion at a barbecue restaurant in China’s northwestern Ningxia region on Wednesday night.
Significantly, this explosion took place on the eve of the two-day holiday of China’s Dragon Boat festival starting on Thursday. The explosion has caused heavy damage to the surrounding buildings. The Ministry of Emergency Management of the Central Government informed on its social media that the search and rescue operation in the restaurant was completed on Thursday morning.
The ministry said that investigation officers have been sent to the spot to find out the cause of the explosion. It is noteworthy that accidents due to gas and chemical explosions are not uncommon in China. In 2015, 173 people were killed in an explosion in the northern port city of Tianjin.
