Opposition Meeting Lunch Menu: Litti Chokha, Gulab Jamun, Jalebi, various types of sharbat and many other traditional dishes of Bihar were served at the lunch after the meeting of opposition parties in Patna on Friday (June 23). Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar hosted a banquet for the leaders of the opposition parties.
According to news agency PTI, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi praised the traditional dishes served. He said, “The lunch organized by Nitish ji had all the traditional dishes of Bihar. Magnificent litti-chokha and special gulab-jamun were served… I thank Nitish ji for this. Had a great time with Bihari cuisine in the food.

The food served to the guests included Bihar’s famous Makhana Kheer, Silav ka Khaja, Maner ka Laddu and Lai (Dhanrua ki Lai), a local sweet made in Dhanrua. Litti is traditionally considered a very popular and convenient food for the people of Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Why was the meeting of opposition leaders held?
Let us inform that in the first joint meeting of the opposition parties called by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, 30 leaders including about 15 parties took part. In the meeting, the leaders resolved to fight unitedly against the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The next meeting of the opposition parties has now been called in Shimla in July, where the leaders will discuss the agenda and strategy ahead.
