Monsoon entry awaited in Chhattisgarh, Meteorological Department issued red alert for heavy rains


Raipur News: Monsoon enters Chhattisgarh every year around June 10. But this year the monsoon has made the people of Chhattisgarh wait for a long time and today i.e. on June 23, the monsoon has entered Chhattisgarh. Southwest Monsoon has entered South Chhattisgarh i.e. Bastar division as before. It has also been officially announced. Raipur Meteorological Department’s expert HP Chandra has confirmed the entry of monsoon to ABP News.

Monsoon entered Chhattisgarh after a long wait
In fact, on Friday, Raipur Meteorological Department has confirmed the entry of monsoon. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has told that the northern limit of southwest monsoon is Ratnagiri, Bijapur, Nizamabad, Durg, Daltonganj, Buxar and Siddharth Nagar. Apart from this, conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon. Raipur Meteorological Department expert HP Chandra said that with the onset of monsoon, Durg division from Bastar has been covered. Monsoon may be active in the entire state by coming Sunday. That is, soon the monsoon will become active in Raipur, Bilaspur and Surguja divisions in 2 days.

Red alert for heavy rain in Sukma district
Its Raipur Meteorological Department has also issued a heavy rain alert in Chhattisgarh for the next 24 to 48 hours. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert for Sukma district of Bastar division. According to the alert, continuous rains are expected in 12 districts of Chhattisgarh due to monsoon entry. In this, yellow alert has been issued for Bastar, Dantewada, Bijapur, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Korba, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Kondagaon, Kanker and Narayanpur districts. (Yellow Alert) has been issued. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in the adjoining districts as well.

Monsoon knocks in Chhattisgarh
Significantly, this year the monsoon has arrived in India with a delay of 8 days. The reason for this is believed to be the cyclone in the Arabian Sea. Due to which the speed of monsoon winds slowed down. And it took 15 days for the monsoon to reach Chhattisgarh. Due to the delay in monsoon, till June 20, people in Chhattisgarh had to face scorching heat wave of 40 to 45 degree Celsius. At the same time, the state government has also extended the summer vacation of school children till June 25.
