New deals for the new century! India-America signed 5 important defense deals, know why it is historic


Deals Between India-USA: PM Modi, who went on a three-day state visit to America, held bilateral talks with President Joe Biden on Friday (June 23). During this, talks were held between the two leaders on many issues, in which both the leaders agreed to move forward on a total of five agreements. In their joint address, both the leaders agreed to move forward on issues like defence, economic cooperation, intelligence transfer, agriculture. 

What are those 5 important agreements?
The heads of both the countries have signed the first agreement on the manufacture of second generation GE-414 jet engine for indigenous aircraft Tejas made in India. According to this, America will transfer technology to India’s aviation part production company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and help in the manufacture of these jet engines. 

According to the second agreement, both the countries will work on upgrading the M-777 light howitzer guns. No information has been received about where these cannons will be manufactured. According to the third agreement, both countries will jointly produce Stryker armored vehicles. Most of which are likely to be produced in India. 

According to the fourth agreement, American Predator drones will be given to India, so that India’s security agencies can use them in various military operations. Technical transfer of the production of these drones will be done to India. According to the fifth agreement, the production of America’s long-range warhead missile will also be done in India.
