NIA files charge sheet against 13 Pakistanis in arms-drugs smuggling case


Drug And Weapons Trafficking: NIA on Friday (June 23) filed a charge sheet in Ahmedabad court against 13 accused in the case of smuggling of arms and drugs from Pakistan through Gujarat in India. All the accused are Pakistani citizens. The NIA has also made Haji Salim, a close aide of Pakistani smuggler Dawood, an accused in this chargesheet. 

Actually, in December 2022, 10 Pakistani smugglers were arrested during a major operation. Gujarat ATS had received information that a large quantity of arms and drugs was going to arrive at Gujarat Port from Pakistan, on the basis of this information, Gujarat ATS and central agencies launched an operation and recovered a large cache of arms and drugs from Pakistani fishing boat. . Not only this, 10 Pakistani smugglers were also caught from the spot. 

Identities of apprehended smugglers
Identities of apprehended Pakistani smugglers are Kaderbakhsh Umetan Baloch, Amanullah Moosa Baloch, Ismail Sabzal Baloch, Allahbakhsh Htar Baloch, Goharbakhsh Dilmurad Baloch, Ammal Fullan Baloch, Gul Mohd. Hatar Baloch, Andam Ali Bohar Baloch, Abdulgani Jungian Baloch and Abdulhakim Dilmurad Baloch. 

Consignment of state-of-the-art weapons to India
A charge sheet was filed against all these smugglers in the NIA court on Friday. Apart from this, a charge sheet has also been filed against the names of Haji Salim, Akbar and Karim Bakhsh, in whose name this consignment came, who are being searched. According to the NIA investigation, the 10 arrested accused, along with Haji Salim, Akbar and Karim Baksh, were to deliver a consignment of sophisticated weapons to absconding accused Haroon in India. 

ATS got information from informers 
The conspiracy was unearthed when Gujarat ATS got information from informers that a drug mafia named Haji Salim at Pakistan base was trying to enter Pakistan through Okha coast. Smuggler of large consignment of drugs and illegal weapons. After this information, the ATS conducted the operation in collaboration with the central investigative agencies. 

Boat seized in joint operation
ATS had received information that the consignment of arms and drugs was to arrive on 27 or 28 December 2022 "Al-Sohaili" Will reach Indian waters near Okha Jetty (150 nautical miles west of Okha Jetty) through a fishing boat named. The ATS informed the Okha Coast Guard and both the agencies seized the boat in a joint operation.
