Taliban officials in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province this week ordered female aid workers to stop working on a refugee project, Reuters reported. The Ministry working for refugees in Afghanistan issued a letter saying that several agencies helping refugees have violated government laws in Spin Boldak, a town near the border with Pakistan.

According to the statement released by the Taliban, all partner organizations that are working with the Refugee and Repatriation Department of Spin Boldak. He should ask his female colleagues not to come to work and stay at home till further notice.

Taliban had promised after coming to power
