Delhi News: People will have to wait a little longer for the opening of the 29 kilometer long Dwarka Expressway being built between Delhi and Haryana. Due to the obstacles in such construction work, now its work can be delayed by two months. About 19 kilometers of this expressway being built between Haryana and Delhi falls in Haryana, which is almost ready. At the same time, there is still a lot of work left in the 10 km stretch of Delhi, which was set by the National Highway Authority of India to be completed by December this year, but now it seems to be postponed till February 2024.

There is a lot of work left related to the construction of the expressway in the part of Delhi. At the same time, due to the falling of the slab of the expressway and the rain, its construction work was also interrupted. NHAI is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. Construction work is being allowed in all parts of the expressway only under safety standards. Which is affecting the speed of construction work. It is being estimated that this construction work will not be completed within the stipulated time.

Haryana portion almost ready

Let us inform that the construction of Dwarka Expressway will start from Shiv Murti situated on Delhi-Jaipur National Highway, passing through Bijwasan, Dwarka and Haryana and will reach Jaipur Highway near Kherki Daula Toll Plaza. The Haryana portion of the expressway is almost ready. The total length of this part is around 19 kms. At the same time, the construction of a 10 kilometer long section is going on in Delhi. A 6.3 kilometer long tunnel is being built in this part.

Dwarka Expressway to be connected to NH and Expressway

Dwarka Expressway will be connected to IGI Airport, so that people will be able to travel to the airport without getting stuck in jam. Apart from this, it will also be connected to the India International Convention Center being built in Dwarka. Along with this, it will also be linked to the Urban Extension Road being built to connect West Delhi with North Delhi. It is being told that Dwarka Expressway is being connected to all major National Highways and Expressways. The Delhi-Gurgaon section on the Delhi-Jaipur highway sees movement of more than 3 lakh vehicles daily. Due to this, there is heavy traffic on this route, due to which people often have to face the problem of getting stuck in jam on this route, but after the construction of Dwarka Expressway where people will get relief from traffic jam on Delhi-Jaipur highway. . At the same time, connectivity between Dwarka and parts of South Delhi will also increase.
