Opposition Alliance Name: The name of the alliance of opposition parties engaged in preparations for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024 has come to the fore. Its name is being told as PDA. Although there is no seal regarding this yet, but internal talks are going on. With reference to the CPI citing the name of the opposition alliance as PDA, high Congress sources say that the name has not been discussed yet.
The sources did not even deny the suggestion of the name PDA. However, its Hindi translation was definitely described as complicated. According to the CPI, the name of the opposition alliance will be the PDA (Patriotic Democratic Alliance). At the same time, before this, Akhilesh Yadav has also given the slogan of PDA backward, Dalit, minority alliance in comparison to NDA. The next meeting of opposition parties will be held in Shimla from 12 to 14 July. This meeting will be of two days in which many important decisions are to be taken.
It is believed that the name of the opposition alliance of fifteen parties can be decided as PDA and the name of Nitish Kumar as the convenor.
Opposition meeting was held in Patna
A meeting was held in Patna on Friday (June 23) regarding opposition unity before the Lok Sabha elections. Many parties including Congress took part in this meeting. In the meeting of the opposition parties, the opinion of the opposition against the Common Minimum Program and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not yet clear.
A meeting of leaders of several major political parties of the opposition was held on Friday in which a strategy was discussed to form a strong front to give a tough challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav hosted the meeting. The meeting took place at Chief Minister’s residence ‘1 Ane Marg’.
In this meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former President Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar and several other opposition leaders arrived.
