PM Modi visited the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, said this by tweeting


PM Modi Visit Pyramids of Giza: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Has gone on a two-day state visit to Egypt. The PM reached Egypt on Saturday (June 24) after visiting America. The PM met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo on Sunday (June 25) as well as visited several important sites. During this, the PM also went to see the Great Pyramids of Giza in Cairo.

The Pyramids of Giza are among the seven wonders of the world. Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli along with PM Modi visited the three pyramids of the fourth dynasty built on the west bank of the Nile River. After seeing the pyramid, PM Modi tweeted that I thank Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli for going to see the pyramid with me. We had an in-depth discussion on the cultural history of our nations and how to deepen these ties in the times to come.

Also visited the historic Al-Hakim Mosque

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Modi also visited Egypt’s 11th century historical Al-Hakim Mosque located in Cairo. This mosque has been renovated with the help of the Dawoodi Bohra community of India. The mosque was built in 1012. PM Modi tweeted in Arabic and English that he was honored to visit the historic Al-Hakim Mosque in Cairo. This is a great proof of the rich heritage and culture of Egypt.

Tribute to Indian soldiers

Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi also visited the Heliopolis Commonwealth War Memorial in Cairo and paid tribute to the Indian soldiers who laid down their lives fighting bravely in Egypt and Palestine during the First World War. PM tweeted that tribute to the brave soldiers of India, whose courage will never be forgotten. At the Heliopolis War Memorial, I paid tribute to our brave soldiers who laid down their lives in World War I in Egypt.
