The Cathay airline issued a statement on social media saying that when the plane was about to take off, the crew detected some technical problem, after which the decision to cancel the flight was taken. When the crew-members came to know about the technical fault, the focus of the pilot was somehow to land the aircraft safely along with the passengers. Hence the passengers were ejected from the aircraft using the five door escape slides. However, during this time, 11 passengers were injured, who were rushed to the hospital.
The airline apologized to the passengers
