1.Bad food is the biggest reason for this. In fact, people sit in the office for long hours and eat processed food, sugary foods, refined carbohydrates and unhealthy fat. This can contribute to weight gain and belly fat.
2.Reports suggest that if you cannot stay away from Facebook and Instagram, then your chances of gaining weight are high. This is because people do not do physical activity. It leads to weight gain.
3.Your working attitude can affect your belly fat. Sitting for nine to five without a break means you are missing out on physical activity. This decreases the activity of the fat burning enzyme, lipoprotein lipase. So, stand up often and stretch – take washroom breaks, get yourself a drink of water and walk around the office every hour. Find time to exercise daily
4.Abdominal fat also starts increasing due to excessive consumption of alcohol. Alcohol is high in calories, which can increase your appetite.
5.Weight gain can occur due to stress and hormonal imbalance. In fact, our adrenal glands release hormones like adrenaline and cortisol during stressful periods. This causes fat to build up in the body.
6.Cortisol hormone also increases due to lack of sleep which increases stress. Stress hormones also increase overeating. If you do not sleep properly, it affects the understanding of healthy eating in the brain, due to which there is unhealthy snacking and weight gain.
