NIA action in terror funding case, raids at 12 places in 4 districts of Jammu and Kashmir


Jammu-Kashmir Terror Funding Case: A continuous campaign is being run against terror in Jammu and Kashmir. In this series, on Monday (June 26), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a series of raids in four districts of Kashmir.

As part of Monday’s (June 26) operation, raids were conducted at 12 places in four districts of Kulgam, Bandipora, Shopian and Pulwama. These included new branches of banned terrorist organizations, residential complexes of terrorists and overground workers.

Incriminating data recovered

NIA has recovered several digital devices containing huge amount of incriminating data in the search operation. Now this data will be investigated by the agency. In fact, the NIA had registered a suo motu case a year ago on 21 June 2022 to prevent terrorism.

These terrorist organizations under investigation

The new terrorist organizations being probed by the NIA are The Resistance Front (TRF), United Liberation Front Jammu and Kashmir (ULFJ&K), Mujahideen Ghazwat-ul-Hind (MGH), Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFF), Kashmir Tigers , contains PAAF.

The cadres and activists whose premises were raided are under NIA probe for manufacturing and supply of magnetic bombs, IEDs, funds, narcotics and arms/ammunition. As per NIA investigation, they are engaged in spreading activities related to terror, violence and sabotage in Jammu and Kashmir.

how were the weapons delivered

Investigation has revealed that Pakistan based terrorists were using social media platforms to promote terror. Drones were being used by them to deliver arms/ammunition, explosives, narcotics etc. to their operatives and cadres in the Kashmir Valley.

Earlier last month, on May 11, the NIA had raided 11 places in Jammu and Kashmir. NIA has raided in Jamaat-e-Islami and Terror funding case. NIA’s continuous search and attachment campaign is going on.
