Bank Closed in July: Banks are going to have a holiday for half a month in July. Public and private sector banks are going to remain closed for 15 days. Apart from the week, banks will remain closed during the month of July on occasions like Muharram, Guru Hargobind Ji’s birth anniversary, Ashura and Ker Puja. According to the list of holidays of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), there are 8 state holidays, which are going to be in different states at different times.
Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on 5th July on the occasion of Guru Hargobind ji’s birthday and on 6th July in Aizawl on MHIP day. On July 11, on the occasion of Ker Puja, there will be a bank holiday all over Tripura.

There is the festival of Muharram on 29th July, on which day there will be a bank holiday in many states. Banks will remain closed in Tripura, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh due to Muharram. Bank holidays in July may differ from state to state as the holidays are decided keeping in mind the local festivals.
