A source in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) told PTI in a statement that he himself was the main reason for Sarfaraz’s non-selection. One of the major reasons for not getting selected in the team is the fitness of Sarfaraz Khan. Which is not of international standard. Apart from this, he also needs to improve his attitude a lot.
In his statement to PTI, a BCCI official said that no one liked Sarfaraz Khan when he pointed a finger at chief selector Chetan Sharma while celebrating his century in a Ranji match against Delhi. Sarfaraz’s attitude inside and outside the field has not been good. We hope that he will work on it together with his father.
IPL is not the basis of selection in test team
The Indian Test team announced for the Windies tour has seen the entry of Rituraj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal as new players. On his selection, many former veterans told the best performance in the 16th season of IPL as a big reason. To this, the BCCI official replied that when Mayank Agarwal made it to the Test team, he scored around 1000 runs in a season. At that time the selectors did not see his IPL record.
