Here the government is giving 5000 rupees on every acre, this much amount will come in the account of 70 lakh farmers


Rythu Bandhu scheme: Many schemes are run by the government, one of which is the Rythu Bandhu scheme. Under this scheme, the government gives an amount of five thousand on one acre during every seasonal crop. Telangana government has started transfer of Rs 7,720.29 crore to about 70 lakh farmers of the state under the 11th installment of Rythu Bandhu scheme from June 26.

5000 per acre will be deposited in the accounts of the farmers, so that the farmer gets assistance in the cost related expenses on seeds, fertilisers, pesticides and preparation of the field. Under this scheme, 1.42 crore acres of agricultural land in 31 districts of the state have been included.

When was the scheme launched

Rythu Bandhu Yojana has been started to give benefits to the farmers. This scheme is started by the Government of Telangana. The goal of this scheme is to support farmers and increase agricultural productivity in the state. Under this scheme, accounts of five lakh new farmers will also be added this year. According to a government data, 92 percent of the beneficiaries in the state have less than five acres of land, 5 percent have 5 to 10 acres and the remaining 3 percent have more than 10 acres of land.

Additional burden of 300 crores on the government

As compared to last year, distribution of extra amount this year will increase the additional burden of about Rs 300 crore on the government. Earlier, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy had advised the first-time beneficiaries of the scheme to approach the authorities to facilitate the smooth distribution process. The state government believes that with this scheme farmers will be debt free in four to five years.

The amount is given in two installments

After disbursement of 11th installment of Rythu Bandhu scheme, the total contribution of the government under the scheme so far is Rs 72,910 crore. Under the scheme, the state government provides a total financial assistance of Rs 10,000 in two installments, out of which Rs 5,000 is released in each of the two farming seasons.
