Joe Biden PM Modi on Pakistan: Foreign Ministry of Pakistan Prime Minister Narendra Modi And expressed concern and disappointment over last week’s joint statement by US President Joe Biden. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has summoned the Deputy Chief of the US Embassy. In fact, during PM Modi’s visit to America, the leaders of both the countries together warned Pakistan about using its land to give shelter to terrorism. PM Modi and Joe Biden asked Islamabad to ensure that its territory is not used for terrorist activities.

Pakistan alleged that “one-sided and misleading” references were made in the joint statement of the two leaders. Pakistan’s Foreign Office said, “The United States should refrain from issuing statements that encourage baseless and politically motivated statements.”

In a statement issued by the Pakistan Foreign Ministry, it was said that counter-terrorism cooperation between Pakistan and the US is progressing well and an enabling environment focused on trust and understanding is necessary to further strengthen the Pakistan-US relationship.

US State Department spokesman Matt Miller said that although Pakistan has taken significant steps to counter terrorist groups, Washington has advocated for more. We have also been consistent in the importance of taking steps to permanently destroy all terrorist groups, including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed and their various front organizations.

What did Joe Biden and PM Modi say?

In a joint statement during Prime Minister Modi’s state visit to the US, both countries condemned terrorism. PM Modi and Biden called for concerted action against all UN-listed terrorist groups, including Pakistan-based outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. Both sides also called for bringing to justice the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai and Pathankot attacks, whose ties have long been established with Pakistan.
