Putin also thanked the people of Russia, saying, “Russian civic solidarity has shown that the country together will thwart any kind of blackmail, conspiracy to organize internal upheaval.”

He said the Wagner fighters were ready to choose whether to join the Russian army or return to Belarus. Putin said, “Today you have the opportunity to continue serving Russia by signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense or other law enforcement agencies, or to return to your family and close people… Anyone who wants to go to Belarus can go.” ”
