Stock Market Holiday on Bakrid: This trading week is going to be a little short for the Indian stock market because this week there will be trading in the stock market for four days instead of five days. The festival of Bakrid is coming in the current business week, on the occasion of which there will be a holiday in the stock market. On June 29, the festival of Eid-ul-Azha or Bakrid will be celebrated across the country.

When will be the trading holiday in the stock market

The country’s major stock exchanges BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on June 29 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha or Bakrid. Earlier, the domestic stock market was going to remain closed on 28 June. In fact, the Maharashtra government has now declared Bakrid as a public holiday on June 29, after which this decision has been taken.

The National Stock Exchange said in its notice

On the reason for the change in stock market holiday, the NSE notice states, “The holiday for domestic stock markets is being changed on June 29, 2023 due to Bakrid. According to the attached notification, instead of June 28, 2023, there will be no trading or business operations on NSE and BSE for the entire day of June 29, 2023.

Due to the change in the holiday of the stock market, the subscription dates of IdeaForge Technology IPO have also changed. Earlier this IPO was open till June 29, 2023, but now you have only time till tomorrow i.e. June 28 to subscribe to this IPO. BSE has also notified the change in the subscription dates for IdeaForge Technology IPO.

When will be the stock market holiday after Bakrid

This is the only holiday of the stock market coming in the month of June, for which altogether 15 holidays have been declared for the stock market this year. Now after Bakrid, the next stock market holiday will be on August 15, 2023, when the whole country will celebrate the anniversary of Independence Day.
