Politics heats up on Uniform Civil Code, Meenakshi Lekhi said- Women should…

Delhi News: After PM Narendra Modi advocated Uniform Civil Code in Bhopal on Tuesday, once again politics in the country has reached its peak. While the country’s oldest party Congress is accusing the Center of ignoring the issue of Manipur violence, the Janata Dal United is telling the PM’s statement as vote bank politics. Meanwhile, countering the allegations of the opposition parties, Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi retorted that there cannot be two laws in one country.

Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi told media persons that it is necessary to implement UCC in the country. The women of the country should get the place in their homes which they have been entitled to for centuries. The Modi government is committed to this. He said that two laws are not possible in one country. Those who talk like this cannot think of the welfare of the country.

Central government should talk to everyone

In response to this, JDU leader KC Tyagi said that the Center needs to hold talks with political parties and stakeholders on the Uniform Civil Code. As far as BJP is concerned, it does only vote bank politics. Taking a strict stand on this, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that the PM needs to change the software of his thinking. Secularism has been talked about in the Indian Constitution. Marriage in Islam is a contract. Hindus have company for birth after birth. Why don’t BJP people try to understand the diversity of India?

Uniform law is necessary to run the country

Let us inform that a day earlier i.e. on June 27, PM Narendra Modi Addressing a public meeting in Bhopal, the capital of MP, he had said that the Muslim brothers and sisters of India have to understand which political parties are taking advantage of them by provoking them. Once again the people of the country are being tricked in the name of Uniform Civil Code. He asked the people- You tell me, if there is one law for one member in a house and another for another, then will the house be able to run? For this it is necessary that there should be a uniform law. This is the arrangement in the constitution as well.
