Mandsour Forest News: Villagers heaved a sigh of relief after watching the video of a 10-feet crocodile, which has become synonymous with terror among the villagers in Mandsaur district, jumped out of the forest department’s cage and jumped into the Gandhi Sagar reservoir. Along with the crocodile, its small children were also left in the reservoir.

After this, the forest department team went to the Gandhi Sagar reservoir and released the female crocodile and its babies. As soon as the forest department team raised the cage, the female crocodile jumped into the reservoir. During this, the Forest Department team made a video and showed it to the villagers to allay their panic, after which people heaved a sigh of relief.
Crocodiles come every year during the rains
The people of the village situated around the Shivna river and the Chambal river say that crocodiles come every year during the rains. According to villager Radheshyam Chowdhary, sometimes the villagers catch small crocodiles and leave them in the river. Shivna river goes ahead and joins Chambal, while Chambal river has a large number of crocodiles. When the water recedes, the crocodiles migrate to the surrounding rural areas. After this, they are released in the river by the villagers and the forest department team in the rain.
