Punjab Crime: A sensational case of murder has come to light from Punjab, where a man killed his friend for the insurance money. He had made a plan that he would create a story of his fake death by killing his friend and he would get Rs 4 crore for term insurance. The police has disclosed this whole matter. Police has told that the accused businessman was running in loss, due to which he prepared this whole plan.

The incident is of Ramdas Nagar area, Gurpreet Singh, who lives here, had conspired to kill his friend and tell him his death. His wife Khushdeep Kaur and four other people also helped him in this whole conspiracy. The police have arrested everyone on the charge of killing Sukhjit Singh. Police said that the matter came to light when Sukhjeet’s wife Jeevandeep Kaur lodged a missing report.

Giving information about this incident, the police said that Gurpreet’s business was continuously incurring losses. Due to which he was upset. After this, he along with his wife and four other people prepared a plan to make an insurance claim of Rs 4 crore. In which it was decided that he would create a fake story of his death by killing his friend Sukhjeet and after that the family would claim the insurance money.

Accused Gurpreet’s friendship with Sukhjit Singh was not old, he had chosen him as a target. After which befriended him with the intention of killing. Because he looked just like Gurpreet in stature. Sukhjit Singh suddenly went missing on June 19, the wife complained about it to the police. After this, the police found Sukhjeet’s bike and slippers lying near a canal on Patiala Road. Initially, the matter was looked at from the angle of suicide, but when the victim’s wife told the police about her friendship with Gurpreet, the police reached her house. During interrogation, the family told that Gurpreet had died in a road accident.

From here the police got suspicious and the investigation of the case was intensified, after strictly questioning Gurpreet’s family, it was found that Gurpreet is alive and he had created this whole story for insurance of 4 crores. The police came to know that his wife and four other people were also involved in this. The accused told that after mixing intoxicants in Sukhjeet’s drink, his face was crushed by the truck, due to which he could not be identified.
