Three injured in knife attack in Canada’s Waterloo University class, attacker in custody


Waterloo University Stabbing: There was a stabbing incident at a university in Canada’s Waterloo city on Wednesday. Three people were injured by stabbing. In this case, the police has detained a person. Police has confirmed the incident.

Regarding the incident, the police said that three people were injured in the attack at Hegi Hall of Waterloo University on Wednesday. However, it was not immediately known how many injuries occurred. At present, the victims were taken to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Police said that one person has been detained from the spot.

Police investigating the motive of the attacker

Police is probing the motive behind the knife attack in the university. However, the motive of the attack is yet to be known. Police said that further things will be told when the information is available. Waterloo University student Yusuf Kaymak told CTV News regarding the incident that the miscreants attacked during the class.

The student told – what happened

The student further told in the conversation that the class was going on at the time of the attack. Then the attacker entered the class. The attacker asked the teacher if he was a professor. When he said ‘yes’, he took out a knife and attacked. During this, there was a stampede in the class.

According to the student, a total of 40 students were present in the class at the time of the attack. No one could understand what was the motive of the attacker. The University of Waterloo said in a tweet that it was supporting the police in their investigation. Now there is no danger of any kind. The police have brought things under control.
