Pakistan Nawaz Sharif: A senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Thursday (June 29) indicated the return of former prime minister and party supremo Nawaz Sharif ahead of the general elections. He said that earlier Nawaz Sharif was eight hours away from Pakistan in London and now he is just two and a half hours away in Dubai.
Referring to the recent meeting between PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Dubai to agree on the upcoming poll alliance, senior PML-N and federal minister Miya Javed Latif said that when Nawaz The country will progress only when Sharif returns.
UAE visit of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
Federal minister Miya Javed Latif said about the meeting between Sharif and Zardari that Nawaz was earlier eight hours away from Pakistan and now he is just two and a half hours away. He will decide on the PML-N’s alliance for the upcoming elections. Pakistan’s 73-year-old former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif went to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from London last week. He was living in self-exile in London since November 2019.
He had moved to London soon after getting medical bail from jail after being found guilty in several corruption cases. Nawaz Sharif was issued a diplomatic passport for five years by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government in November last year. At the same time, the current Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif is the younger brother of Nawaz Sharif.
Indications of becoming the Prime Minister of the country for the fourth time
PML-N and Federal Minister Miya Javed Latif on Thursday said that friendly countries are investing in Pakistan on the request of Nawaz Sharif, as he will become the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the fourth time. At a party meeting last week, Shehbaz Sharif hinted at the possibility of his elder brother returning to lead the party’s election campaign in the general election and become the country’s prime minister for the fourth time.
For this, the country’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has passed a bill to change the disqualification law as well, with the help of which Nawaz Sharif’s commission will end and he will come back to the country and become active in politics.
